Head coach Mohamed Ouahbi has assembled a squad combining established European-based stars with several standout performers from Moroccan domestic football as the African champions prepare for the tournament in the United States, Mexico and Canada.

Brahim arrives as one of the side's major attacking hopes after continuing his rise at Real Madrid and impressing during recent international competitions. The playmaker is now set to experience his first World Cup as one of the faces of Morocco's new generation.

Alongside him stands Hakimi, still regarded as the undisputed leader of the national team. The Paris Saint-Germain full-back remains Morocco's biggest reference point despite managing physical issues towards the end of the club season.

Ouahbi has also included three standby players in case of late injury setbacks: El Mehdi Al Harrar, Amine Sbai and Marwane Saadane.

Morocco have been drawn into a demanding Group C alongside Brazil, Scotland and Haiti.

Before travelling to North America, the Atlas Lions will complete their preparations with friendly matches against Madagascar and Norway after recently cruising to a 5-0 victory over Burundi.
