Real Zaragoza have released a statement condemning the scenes at the conclusion of their clash with Huesca at El Alcoraz. The club confirmed they "will analyse the events and take appropriate disciplinary measures" against their Argentine goalkeeper, Esteban Andrada.

"In the final moments of Sunday's match between SD Huesca and Real Zaragoza at El Alcoraz, we witnessed scenes unworthy of this sport, which should never have occurred. These actions do not represent the values of Real Zaragoza or its supporters, a club historically defined by nobility, courage, and respect for our opponents," the club stated.

"We serve as role models for many fans, especially the children who cheer us on every matchday and aspire to follow in their idols' footsteps. Consequently, these deplorable images should never have happened," the statement added.

"The club unequivocally condemns the incident, which unacceptably tarnished a match of such regional significance – an entirely inadmissible outcome," Real Zaragoza stressed.

Regarding the conduct of Esteban Andrada, the club reiterated that they "will analyse the events and take appropriate disciplinary measures."

The Argentine goalkeeper subsequently apologised in a video shared via the club's official social media channels: "Throughout my career, I have only ever received one red card, and that was for a handball. It was an extreme situation; I lost my head and reacted in that manner. I would not do it again, as I am a professional and a public figure with many years of experience in the game."

"I want to apologise to Jorge Pulido because we are fellow professionals. I lost my composure in that moment, and I am here to accept whatever verdict LaLiga reaches. If they require me to provide an explanation in person, I will do so," he concluded.
