Rayo Vallecano right back Ivan Balliu spoke about the Copa del Rey and he said that it is "a target for this season" after last year's defeat in the semi-finals.

Rayo begin their Copa del Rey campaign this season against Mollerussa and they will be visiting them for the second time in their history.

"Last season the Copa del Rey was a hard blow and now is one of the targets within the dressing room. This season we will try and fight for it," said Balliu.

The Albanian international, one of the key players for Andoni Iraola, was "happy" to be on 22 points with Rayo Vallecano, just eleven points above the relegation zone.

"There are many teams with the European target but first we want to continue playing. We set ourselves the goal of finishing with as many points as possible. We have fought in every game and we are going well on holiday," he concluded.
