The San Sebastian reserve side tore their hosts apart with clinical precision, blistering pace and relentless finishing during a devastating first half. Their supreme conviction laid bare the home side's glaring defensive frailties, establishing an unassailable lead before the interval despite a spirited second-half rally from Andorra.

It proved an absolute masterclass in efficiency as Real Sociedad B scored from each of their first three attempts on goal. In stark contrast, FC Andorra squandered a raft of opportunities after the restart. The hosts pulled only one back with 20 minutes remaining, continually thwarted by visiting goalkeeper Fraga and their own profligacy, never truly threatening a dramatic turnaround.

That opening-half blitz proved decisive. In the 11th minute, Daniel Diaz broke the deadlock with a sublime piece of individual quality, cutting inside off the flank before curling an unstoppable left-footed strike from the edge of the box into the far top corner. Andorra goalkeeper Pau Lopez stood no chance—the start of an arduous afternoon in which he was nonetheless forced into several vital stops.

The visitors doubled their advantage with their very next opening, ruthlessly unpicking an exposed Andorra defence on the counter-attack. In the 35th minute, Astiazaran hammered home with his right foot following an incisive assist from Inaki Ruperez. Just six minutes later, Ruperez made it 3-0 himself, exploiting acres of space on another lethal breakaway to put the contest effectively to bed.

It was a hammer blow for Andorra, watched on by a visibly concerned Gerard Pique in the directors' box. While the half-time whistle offered welcome respite and prompted a marked improvement after the break—capped by a consolation goal from Lautaro De Leon—the first-half damage was ultimately far too severe to overturn.
