Lamine Yamal, already a fixture in global conversations about the sport’s future, has spent the past year bending precocity records to his will. Yet as he continues to headline football’s generational debate, a handful of emerging talents across the continent are beginning to leave their own mark. Among them, one Marseille attacker has slipped into the frame almost unnoticed.

A product of the Sochaux academy, Robinio Vaz made only three senior appearances last season before Roberto De Zerbi decided he was ready for a larger role. This year, despite starting just three Ligue 1 matches, he has already been involved in six goals—an output that places him near the top of Europe’s under-20 performers.

The contributions have come steadily: a first goal in August’s 5–2 win over Paris FC, an assist against Metz in October, a goal-and-assist showing against Le Havre soon after, then a late-month brace in the draw with Angers. Even with injury interruptions, his impact remains substantial.

Elsewhere on the continent, Köln’s Said El Mala and Leipzig’s Assan Ouédraogo and Yan Diomande have also made early impressions, each reaching five goal contributions. But none match the Marseille forward’s efficiency.

But Marseille’s rising teenager, used frequently from the bench, has produced six goal involvements in only 290 minutes.
