Athletic travel to Newcastle, in the north of England, hoping to continue their momentum from the last Champions League match against Qarabag.

For the match against Newcastle, Ernesto Valverde could introduce a significant change to the starting XI. The debut of Selton Sued Sánchez with the first team is a distinct possibility.

The midfielder has been a standout performer for Athletic in the Youth League, where he has played two matches, scoring one goal and providing two assists. He is considered one of the jewels of the Lezama academy. This season, he has already featured for Bilbao Athletic (Primera RFEF) and Basconia (Segunda RFEF).

Selton Sued Sanchez was born in Durango (Vizcaya) in 2007, making him 18 years old. His mother is Brazilian, and he is the cousin of former Liverpool player Roberto Firmino, currently playing for Al Sadd after a spell with Al Ahli.

The midfielder was called up for the Basque derby against Real Sociedad but did not get any playing time. Ahead of the match, Valverde highlighted his potential. "He has talent and can be useful to us. The idea of bringing him up to train with us was for him to get used to the team's rhythm and, at the same time, assess how he can develop. And he has the potential to help us."
