Account closed and winnings withheld for no reason. Refuse to engage in communication. Horrendous experience - should not have a license

This is a fraud casino, they don't let you withdraw winnings even if you complete verification process. After verification is completed they will keep asking for tons of documents and won't pay at the end. they don't even accept high stakes. Avoid them.

I am writing this as a final warning. Bet-at-home is withholding my winnings of 225 EUR. I have provided every single document requested, including 6 (SIX!) different biometric selfies and proof of my Paysafe account. My account is now blocked and they are completely ignoring my emails (Ticket 502302). I have already filed a formal complaint on AskGamblers and I am now proceeding with eCOGRA and the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA). This is unacceptable and unprofessional. If you value your money, AVOID this site!

Bonus Terms Analysis

bet-at-home operates under MGA license with comprehensive, clearly written general terms. However, the operator retains significant discretionary powers including ability to limit stakes, exclude users without reason, and unilaterally set winning limits. Specific bonus terms (Section L) were not included in the provided document.

Our Assessment

This document covers general terms and conditions but does NOT contain the actual bonus/promotion terms (Section L referenced but not provided). Players should request and review Section L separately before claiming any promotions. The general terms show a well-regulated operator but with significant discretionary powers that favor the house. The severe penalty for multiple accounts and broad exclusion rights warrant caution. Recommend obtaining complete promotion terms before evaluating bonus value.

bet-at-home.com presents significant risks for players despite some positive features like high profit limits and good responsible gambling tools. Major concerns include the operator's broad discretionary powers to withhold funds indefinitely on mere suspicion, confiscate original deposits for multiple accounts, and forfeit all bonus-related winnings. The promotional terms lack transparency with vague wagering requirements and locked funds. Geographic restrictions are extremely broad (30+ countries excluded). While dispute resolution options are good and responsible gambling tools adequate, the overall terms heavily favor the operator with multiple severe forfeiture clauses.

NOT RECOMMENDED for most players. While bet-at-home offers high profit limits and adequate responsible gambling tools, the terms contain multiple severe red flags that create unacceptable risks. The operator's ability to confiscate original deposits (not just winnings) for multiple accounts, withhold funds indefinitely on suspicion alone, and forfeit all bonus-related funds without clear wagering requirements makes this a high-risk platform. The extremely broad geographic restrictions and vague promotional terms further reduce player protection. Only consider if you: (1) are not in an excluded country, (2) never use bonuses, (3) can provide full KYC immediately, (4) understand you may face arbitrary betting limits, and (5) accept the risk of fund withholding on suspicion. Players seeking fair and transparent terms should look elsewhere.

T&C Pros

  • Comprehensive responsible gambling tools including self-exclusion and deposit limits

Players can set deposit limits or exclude themselves from products for any period via email to support@bet-at-home.com. Exclusion becomes effective within 24 hours. Increasing limits or revoking exclusion has a 24-hour cooling-off period.

  • Clear dispute resolution process with third-party mediation

Complaints processed within 10 days (extendable to 20 days). Players can escalate to eCOGRA for alternative dispute resolution at http://www.ecogra.org/srs/dispute.php. Can also file complaints with Malta Gaming Authority at support.mga@mga.org.mt.

  • High profit limits for serious bettors

Maximum profit per bet is €20,000. Maximum profit per customer per week is €100,000. These are generous limits compared to industry standards.

  • No deposit fees and multiple payment methods

Wide range of deposit methods (Apple Pay, Credit Card, eps, Skrill, Klarna, paysafecard, NETELLER, PayPal, Trustly, Aircash, Abon) with no processing fees charged by the operator.

  • Cash Out feature available for early settlement

Allows early Cash Out of single, combi, or bet-builder bets (including Partial and Automatic Cashout). Provides flexibility to secure profits or minimize losses before event conclusion.

T&C Cons

  • Extremely broad geographic restrictions excluding 30+ countries

Excluded countries include: France, USA, Turkey, Albania, Belgium, Spain, Portugal, Denmark, Czech Republic, Croatia, Romania, Bulgaria, Australia, Greece, Russia, Israel, Iraq, Iran, Syria, Afghanistan, Hungary, UK, North Korea, Sweden, Serbia, Bosnia, Slovakia, Poland, Netherlands, Montenegro, Gibraltar. Using VPN/proxy to circumvent results in account closure and forfeiture of winnings.

  • Vague promotional bonus terms with locked funds and potential forfeiture

Deposited amounts are locked until rollover conditions are met or expire. Bonus funds and winnings remain locked. If participation conditions not met by promotion end, bet-at-home can cancel all bonus funds and resulting winnings. Specific wagering requirements not clearly stated in general T&C.

  • Operator can withhold winnings indefinitely on suspicion alone

Section B states: 'bet-at-home reserves the right to delay withdrawal requests at its own discretion if a sports event is under suspicion of betting fraud or manipulation.' Section E.23 allows withholding payments 'in the event of any suspicion of criminal activity' until court decision. No timeframes specified.

  • Inactivity fees of 5 EUR or 5% per month after 12 months

After 12 months of no activity (no login/logout), account becomes inactive. Fee is 5 EUR or 5% of balance (whichever higher) charged monthly until balance reaches zero. 30-day warning provided. Alternatively, operator may close account and appropriate funds after 5 years.

  • Multiple account violations result in complete forfeiture including original deposits

Section E.2 states: 'Should we have reasonable suspicion that any of our customers has opened multiple accounts... we reserve the right... to lock the account immediately and the customer shall forfeit all their winnings. Customers should also note that their original deposits will not be refunded.'

  • Operator can refuse bets, limit stakes, or exclude users without reason

Section B.5 states: 'It's at bet-at-home's sole discretion to refuse individual bets or to limit the stakes. Furthermore bet-at-home reserves the right to exclude users from the participation in betting and gambling without giving reasons.'

  • 30-day deadline to provide KYC documents or account closure

Section I.6 requires customers to provide ID and additional documents within 30 days upon request for withdrawal processing. Section E.11 states if KYC cannot be completed due to lack of cooperation, account may be immediately closed or locked.

  • Austrian customers subject to 5% tax on winnings since April 2025

Section B.1 states: 'Since April 1, 2025, a 5% tax has been applied to stakes placed by customers who are domiciled or habitually resident in the Republic of Austria... a contribution of 5% of betting winnings with real-money will be withheld.'

Important T&C Warnings

  • CRITICAL: Multiple accounts result in forfeiture of ALL winnings AND original deposits - no refunds
  • CRITICAL: Operator can withhold withdrawals indefinitely on suspicion alone without timeframes or burden of proof
  • CRITICAL: Bonus funds and deposited amounts are locked until rollover met - complete forfeiture if conditions not satisfied
  • WARNING: 30+ countries completely excluded - using VPN/proxy results in account closure and fund forfeiture

Payment Security Features

Data not available

Security features information will be added soon.

Pros

  • Excellent variety with 13 payment methods covering cards, e-wallets, bank transfers, and prepaid options
  • PayPal availability provides buyer protection and fast withdrawals
  • 12 methods offer instant deposits for immediate betting

Cons

  • 70% of deposit must be wagered before withdrawal is permitted
  • Several methods have geographic restrictions (Austria-only options)
  • €30 minimum withdrawal on card methods is higher than some competitors

Our Verdict

bet-at-home offers 13 payment methods spanning cards, e-wallets, bank transfers, and prepaid options, primarily catering to European markets (especially Austria and German-speaking countries). The inclusion of PayPal, Apple Pay, and Klarna alongside traditional e-wallets like Skrill and Neteller is a strength. However, there are notable geographic restrictions (cards limited to 6 countries, several methods Austria-only), and the absence of cryptocurrency support is a gap. Withdrawals are generally processed within 24 hours.

Best for Deposit

PayPal - Instant deposits with wide availability, strong buyer protection, and also supports fast withdrawals

Best for Withdrawal

PayPal / Skrill / Neteller - E-wallets offer instant transfers after the 24-hour processing period, significantly faster than 1-3 business days for cards/bank transfers

Best for High Rollers

Skrill - Highest confirmed deposit limit of €10,000 and withdrawal limit of €6,000 per transaction

Best for Casual Bettors

Apple Pay - Extremely easy to use on mobile devices with no additional account setup required; instant deposits with minimal friction
